Job Summary:

We're looking for a seasoned Compliance Manager to lead our anti-money laundering, financial sanctions, and terrorist financing controls. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance team, you'll ensure our systems align with regulatory requirements and collaborate with the first line to maintain robust controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on UK and EU regulatory developments, liaise with regulators, and ensure policies are current.
  • Compliance Expertise: Act as a compliance expert, advising senior leaders on control environments to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Regulatory Interpretation: Interpret and communicate new regulatory requirements to senior management, ensuring products and services comply.
  • Business Transformation: Provide compliance input to business transformation initiatives and ensure preparedness for regulatory changes.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Offer analysis on regulatory and risk developments, contributing to executive and board reporting.
  • Senior Managers & Certification Regime: Support the Senior Managers & Certification Regime, including maintaining regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with the Risk & Compliance team for knowledge sharing.
  • Compliance Culture: Assist in embedding a customer-focused compliance culture.
  • Training and Development: Review and develop LMS training to meet regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience in a similar compliance/audit role within Financial Services, ideally in Insurance.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of the UK Regulatory environment and relevant legislation.
  • Regulatory Interpretation: Experience interpreting regulatory changes and assessing their impact on the business.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to review procedures, communicate findings, and influence senior management to ensure compliance.
