Job Title: Advanced Practitioner RadiographerJob Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Practitioner Radiographer to join our team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of the Evaluative Commissioning in Protons (ECIP) programme, supporting patients participating in ECIP programme studies and clinical trials within the Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide an important point of contact for patients and carers regarding their participation in ECIP programme studies, PBT clinical trials, or departmental research.
  • Assess and troubleshoot patient care issues, providing support, advice, and referrals as needed.
  • Act as lead radiographer on ECIP programme projects, demonstrating autonomy and teamwork.
  • Ensure Trust standards are maintained, and all staff are kept up-to-date with clinical trials and research developments.
  • Participate in organizing and facilitating visitors to the PBT department.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent.
  • Clinical experience at a senior level within the radiotherapy setting.
  • Experience of teaching and supporting the learning of others.
  • Experience of service improvement, governance, and quality.
Desirable:
  • Experience of clinical trial application across proton, MR-linac, or photon services.
  • Experience working in a proton beam therapy service.
  • Project management/leadership experience.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to manage workload.
