Advanced Practitioner Radiographer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced radiographer to join our team as an Advanced Practitioner Radiographer. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Evaluative Commissioning in Protons (ECIP) research programme, supporting the delivery of proton beam therapy (PBT) clinical trials and research within our department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert radiography services to patients participating in ECIP programme studies and PBT clinical trials, ensuring continuity of care and accurate data collection.
- Lead, supervise, and undertake an active role in audit, research, development, and implementation of new techniques and practices, assessing results and impacts.
- Ensure compliance with research governance, clinical governance, research ethics, and trial regulations, including ICH GCP guidelines.
- Liaise with national and international governing bodies, committees, and research organisations to facilitate the implementation of studies within the ECIP programme and PBT services.
- Assess, analyse, and interpret research data to inform evidence-based clinical decisions.
- BSc in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent.
- Senior-level clinical experience in radiotherapy, including expertise with advanced and complex radiotherapy techniques.
- Experience in teaching, supporting learning, and service improvement, governance, and quality.
- Excellent organisation skills, ability to manage workload, and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Research skills, including critical analysis of current literature and evidence-based practice.
The Christie is one of Europe's leading cancer centres, providing radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and highly specialist surgery for complex and rare cancer.
