About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Animal Welfare Assistant to join our Rehoming & Fostering team in Southampton. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the welfare of pets in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for and assess the needs of pets in our centre, including dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens.
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation plans to prepare pets for adoption.
  • Work closely with the Adoptions Coordinator to provide advice and support to adopters.
  • Conduct meetings with pet owners, ensuring all necessary information is recorded and paperwork is completed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to queries and concerns from pet owners and adopters.
Requirements
  • Experience working with domestic animals or in an animal welfare environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of animal behaviour and welfare.
  • Current full driving licence.
