About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Second Chef to join our team at Sodexo in Warminster Garrison. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen in the absence of senior colleagues and providing support to the production team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the kitchen team in the absence of senior colleagues and provide support to the production team.
  • Direct the preparation and duties of commis chefs, chef de parties, and other kitchen staff.
  • Assist in ordering, preparation, stock control, and running service and clean down.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all EHO guidelines and systems.
  • Improve and maximize the use of existing stocks where necessary.
  • Work with the FOH team to drive service excellence.
  • Train, guide, and develop the kitchen team.
  • Monitor sanitation practices to ensure employees follow standards and regulations.
  • Prepare, produce, and present food to the highest standard.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 2/3 or experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Basic IT skills, with Microsoft packages experience.
  • Experience in menu planning and production.
  • Exposure to bulk cooking.
  • The enthusiasm to develop and learn new skills.
  • A positive and approachable manner.
