Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Eden Brown. As a key member of our building services team, you will be responsible for designing and managing the application of mechanical building services to ensure they meet our clients' requirements and are delivered within budget and on programme.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop detailed briefs of mechanical and electrical building services requirements in collaboration with clients and associate engineers.
- Conduct options appraisals and produce reports justifying recommendations to ensure client sign-off.
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams to deliver internal aspects of programme delivery.
- Develop effective working relationships with design teams to ensure whole construction projects meet client needs.
- Produce outline design, scheme design, and detailed design reports, including drawings and specifications.
- Manage tender processes to select appropriate contractors for project delivery.
- Assist in managing commercial aspects of projects to ensure effective cost controls and provide advice on project finances.
- Validate commissioning processes to ensure products and services meet required specifications.
- Advise on operating and maintenance manuals produced by contractors.
- Ensure effective handover of projects from contractors and ensure final construction meets agreed requirements and design intent.
- Conduct reviews of H&S and risk assessments under Construction Design and Management Regulations and sign off compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge of products and services to ensure clients receive best advice.
- Deliver projects within defined resources and timescales.
- Experience of large, detailed construction projects.
- Multidisciplinary consultancy experience.
- ISO9001 Quality Management System experience.
- Experience within UK or working to British Standards.
