About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join a rapidly growing international organisation based in the South Yorkshire region. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a senior leadership role and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

Main Responsibilities
  • Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance and leadership to the finance team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  • Financial Operations: Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities in the US and Canada.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, including P&L, margin, accruals, and balance sheet analysis.
  • Tax and Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including sales tax, GST, and VAT submissions and payments.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform other ad hoc tasks as required to deliver a timely month-end close.
  • Year-End Accounts and Audit: Assist with the preparation and support for year-end accounts and audit.
  • Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax: Input into statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for UK companies as required.
Requirements
  • Accountancy Qualification: Hold a recognized accountancy qualification, such as ACCA or CIMA.
  • Advanced MS Excel Skills: Possess advanced skills in MS Excel, including data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Proven Experience: Have proven experience in accounting, including financial accounts and financial planning and analysis.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Business Acumen: Possess business acumen and the ability to understand the impact of business change on financial accounts.
