About the Role:
Are you a dedicated and empathetic Social Worker with a passion for safeguarding children? Randstad Care is seeking a proficient Children's Social Worker to join our Intake and Assessment Team on a temporary basis. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in our mission to protect and assist vulnerable children and families, operating within a vibrant and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the Intake and Assessment Team, your duties will include:
- Initial Assessments: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new referrals, assessing the needs and risks faced by children and families.
- Decision-Making: Identify suitable interventions and subsequent actions, including referrals to ongoing services or immediate protective measures.
- Crisis Intervention: Address urgent situations where children may be at risk, providing prompt and effective support to ensure their safety.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Collaborate closely with professionals from various agencies, including health, education, and law enforcement, to gather information and formulate holistic support plans.
- Safeguarding: Uphold and implement child protection policies and procedures, ensuring that all actions prioritize the welfare of children.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate, and timely records of assessments, decisions, and actions using the case management system.
- Communication: Effectively engage with children, families, and other professionals, ensuring that all parties are informed and involved in the decision-making process.
Minimum Requirements:
- SCW Registration
- 2 years of post-qualifying experience within the UK
- Eligibility to work in the UK
