Job Title: Biodiversity Indicators Specialist

Join JNCC, a leading organization in nature conservation, as a Biodiversity Indicators Specialist. In this exciting role, you will contribute to the development and production of new indicators for the UK's biodiversity progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and analyze large environmental datasets to identify suitable indicators for the UK's biodiversity goals.
  • Collaborate with experts and stakeholders to develop and refine indicator methods.
  • Support the project team in engaging with policy officials, statisticians, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the NCPA team's activities, including team cohesion and support for other projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification and/or relevant recent work experience.
  • Experience in researching and utilizing large environmental datasets, analyzing scientific information, and developing indicators.
  • Proficiency in R coding and use of R Studio, as well as experience with standard office software and databases.
