Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Marshalls, a leading hard landscaping manufacturer. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance and a proven track record of ensuring the continuous running of production processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Eliminate downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance of equipment
  • Work on various types of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems
  • Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on-site

Requirements:

  • Good mechanical working knowledge with electrical experience
  • Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position, ideally with Electrical qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of the IEE 18th edition
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Practical hands-on approach
  • Significant experience in the maintenance of a variety of plant, ideally in Wet Press, cropping and mixing plants
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
  • Previous PLC experience (Allen Bradley) would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives and Team leaders from both maintenance and production
