About the Role

Cobalt Recruitment is partnering with a well-established promoter and developer to hire a Senior Strategic Land and Planning Manager in Hertfordshire. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for identifying sites with potential for promotion within current and emerging Local Plans across the UK, as well as working through their landbank to promote these sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Identification: Search for viable sites through contacts and software, such as LandTech.
  • Land Bank Management: Manage a land bank and numerous ongoing and future deals and promotions.
  • Negotiation and Deal-Making: Negotiate land deals and draft Heads of Terms with lawyers, if you choose to focus on land.
  • Site Promotion: Promote sites through the Local Plan, and work on outline, hybrid, and detailed applications.
  • Policy Updates: Keep up-to-date on changes in planning policy and updates on Local Plans.
Requirements
  • Experience: Be experienced in promoting sites through Local Plans.
  • Negotiation Skills: Be adept at negotiating and have a track record in securing sites.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Be a team player and a confident communicator.
