Intensive Care Consultant

We are pleased to announce a vacancy for a Locum Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust. This position is designed to cover a short to medium-term post.
Key Responsibilities:- Hold a postgraduate qualification in Intensive Care Medicine (e.g. Additional Post Graduate Qualifications)
- Have teaching and training experience, including the ability to teach clinical skills to medical and nursing staff and other disciplines
- Have clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Intensive Care Medicine
- Have skills and experience in Intensive Care Medicine suitable for a consultant in a district general hospital, including paediatric resuscitation
- Have advanced specialist training in neuroscience intensive care
- Be able to work well with colleagues and within a team, communicate effectively with patients, relatives, colleagues, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Be committed to Continuing Medical Education and Professional Development
- Have a flexible and adaptive attitude
- Be willing to undertake additional professional responsibilities at a local level
- Have appropriate Immigration Status (where applicable)
Requirements:
- Postgraduate ICM qualification
- Teaching and training experience
- Clinical training and experience equivalent to CCT in ICM
- Skills and experience in ICM for a consultant in a district general hospital
- Advanced specialist training in neuroscience intensive care
- Ability to work well with colleagues and within a team
- Commitment to Continuing Medical Education and Professional Development
- Flexible and adaptive attitude
- Willingness to undertake additional professional responsibilities
