CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking skilled Electrical Shift Engineers to join our team at a prestigious commercial bank in London.

As an integral part of the maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of building services across this critical site. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for employees and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical maintenance tasks including lighting installations, fault-finding, lamp replacement, ballast changes, control panel maintenance, and power distribution system checks.
  • Ensure the functionality of emergency lighting systems.
  • Carry out routine maintenance on air conditioning units (AHUs) and fan coil units (FCUs), including filter changes and cleaning.
  • Monitor and reset chillers to maintain optimal cooling performance.
  • Conduct water treatment checks, ensuring temperature control and system integrity.
  • Address minor plumbing issues such as toilet unblocking.
  • Diagnose and repair pumps and motors within building systems.
  • Oversee the BMS (Building Management System) to monitor critical parameters like hot and cold water temperatures.
  • Monitor UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, taking readings and ensuring reliable power backup.
  • Proactively identify potential issues with building services equipment and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with client staff members to ensure service level expectations are met.

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Experience in building maintenance, with a strong electrical focus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Multi-skilled capabilities encompassing both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of UPS systems, generators, power distribution, HVAC, and HV/LV systems.
