The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of students. You will assist with the implementation of behavior management strategies and interventions, provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance, and foster positive relationships with students, providing encouragement and guidance as they navigate their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEMH needs, is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • Willingness to undergo relevant training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
