Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our Staff Psychology Team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the proactive offer for emotional wellbeing support provided to all our Trust colleagues.

The successful candidate will provide psychological input to individuals and teams through reflective practice, psychological skills training, and consultation. There will be opportunities to lead various projects and service developments, as well as work with colleagues to deliver innovative staff wellbeing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological input to individuals and teams through reflective practice, psychological skills training, and consultation
  • Lead various projects and service developments
  • Work with colleagues to deliver innovative staff wellbeing initiatives
  • Support the development of staff wellbeing initiatives
Person Specification
  • Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of adults across the full range of care settings
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of patient groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity
  • Experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision
  • Experience of working within a multicultural framework and application of psychology in different cultural contexts
