We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Business Operations Assistant to join our Adult Community Learning team at Essex County Council.

As a Business Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our learners, staff, and visitors, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience at our centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Deliver high-quality customer service to our learners, staff, and visitors, responding to their queries and providing information, advice, and guidance.
  • Front-Line Duties: Carry out effective front-line duties, including handling customer enquiries, providing information, and supporting the day-to-day running of our centres.
  • Administration Support: Provide administrative support to our teams, including managing stock, ordering goods and services, and contributing to the management of our centres.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our teams to ensure the smooth running of our services, including supporting the Business Operations leads and contributing to the management of our centres.
Requirements
  • Education: Educated to level 2 (GCSE) or equivalent by experience.
  • Customer Service Skills: Proven customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Communication Skills: Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with our learners, staff, and visitors.
  • Teamwork: Able to work in a team and work under pressure, with a flexible approach to work.
