Supply Chain Operations Manager

Craft Gin Club is a leading beverage company that has revolutionized the way consumers discover and enjoy new drinks from the comfort of their homes. As we continue to expand into new markets, product categories, and distribution channels, we are seeking a highly skilled Head of Supply Chain and Fulfilment to lead and optimize our global supply chain strategy and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire end-to-end supply chain, including:

  1. Dry Goods and Packaging Procurement: Sourcing and purchasing high-quality materials and packaging solutions.
  2. Global Inbound Logistics: Managing the receipt and storage of raw materials and finished goods from suppliers.
  3. Distillation and Bottling: Coordinating the production and bottling of our beverages.
  4. 3PL Finished Unit / Finished Order Assembly: Overseeing the assembly and packaging of finished goods for our subscription business, which can involve up to 100,000 orders per month.
  5. 3PL Finished Unit / Finished Order Dispatch: Ensuring timely and efficient dispatch of finished goods to customers within a 3-day window.
  6. 3PL Pick, Pack, and Dispatch: Managing the pick, pack, and dispatch of e-commerce orders.
  7. Carrier Management: Negotiating and managing relationships with carriers to optimize shipping costs and efficiency.
  8. Duty Management: Ensuring compliance with duty regulations and managing duty payments.

The Head of Supply Chain and Fulfilment will also be responsible for managing a team of four operational head office staff and owning global supply chain budgets.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled professional with:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in B2C fulfilment and shipping.
  • Experience managing multi-million-pound third-party relationships.
  • Excellent people management and negotiation skills.
  • Highly numerate with a strong understanding of data and Excel.
  • Technology savvy with a good understanding of 3PL API interfaces and WMS systems.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Confident in problem-solving and process mapping.
  • Experience of dealing with alcohol duty and bonding is a plus.
  • Tenacious and determined with a passion for the beverage industry.
