Job Opportunity

Mencap is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the Tuebrook area of Liverpool. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting three ladies with learning disabilities in their own home, providing 24/7 care and support.

About the Role

You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, and helping individuals with learning disabilities to live independently. This is an active service, requiring staff to work occasional evenings to attend community activities.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for supporting others and making a positive difference in people's lives.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with individuals and their families.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (for those who need to transport individuals).

Contract Options

We offer part-time contracts (30 hours per week) with flexible hours based on availability. You will be required to work a four-week rolling rota, with your schedule provided at least eight weeks in advance.
