About Priory Adult Care
Priory Adult Care is the UK's leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.
We offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need, as well as a network of supported living services for adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and behaviours that challenge.
About the Role
As a Support Professional, you will work on a variety of duties, including:
- Promoting independence: Encouraging our service users to live as independently as possible, while supporting them in building their life skills.
- Achieving goals: Help set, achieve, and celebrate personal goals for each individual, ensuring they progress at their own pace.
- Encouraging socialisation: Working with colleagues to engage our service users in exciting activities and hobbies that promote involvement and personal growth.
- Providing personal care: Assisting with personal care needs, tailored to each individual's requirements.
- Building relationships: Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with external specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams.
About You
You are reliable, friendly, and you understand the importance of a person-centred approach. Your enthusiasm inspires others, and you demonstrate resilience when faced with behaviours that challenge. With excellent communication skills, you work well in a team and are eager to learn and continuously develop your skills.
We are an equal opportunities employer, and all roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI, or Disclosure Scotland. The cost of this will be covered by Priory.
