Join SSE's Distribution Electrical Engineering Graduate Programme

We're seeking talented graduates to join our team as Distribution Electrical Engineers, working on the development and refinement of capital and connections projects for our distribution network.

As a graduate, you'll have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, from feasibility through to approved for construction stage, using a suite of engineering standards. You'll be responsible for the technical development and refinement of capital and connections projects, including underground cable, overhead line, and substation design.

Our team is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable supply of electricity to our customers, and we're committed to developing the flexible networks that are vital to achieving net-zero.

You'll have the opportunity to work with a range of stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to deliver projects that meet our customers' needs.

We're looking for graduates who are passionate about electrical engineering and have a strong academic background in the field. You'll have a minimum of a 2:2 in a relevant degree discipline and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

As a graduate, you'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a range of areas, including project management, engineering design, and teamwork. You'll also have access to a range of training and development opportunities to help you achieve your career goals.
