About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art cardiothoracic suite, boasting six theatres, Cath labs, and thoracic recovery units. You will be responsible for providing pre-surgery assistance to patients, preparing specialized equipment and drugs, and ensuring their safety and comfort during anaesthesia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and support, including preparation of specialized equipment and drugs
  • Support surgical procedures by facilitating communication between teams and ensuring safe patient transfer post-surgery
  • Effectively communicate with patients, colleagues, and caregivers, adapting communication methods to individual needs
  • Provide feedback and maintain accurate records
  • Adhere to regulations and procedures, prioritize and organize workload efficiently, and continuously update knowledge and skills
  • Stay updated with research findings, contribute to quality assurance programs, reflect on clinical practice, and adapt to new developments
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, maintain confidentiality, promote health and safety, identify and address hazards, and respond appropriately to emergencies
