Job Summary:

The Aspire Training Team is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice at Kid's Love Nature in Wickham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children, while also developing your skills and knowledge in childcare and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
  • Treat each child as an individual, respecting their unique needs and interests.
  • Support new children in settling into the nursery environment.
  • Conduct observations, assessments, and planning for children, including statutory requirements and child profile books.
  • Plan and present activities to children, based on their interests and developmental needs.
  • Support children in finding and engaging in constructive activities.
  • Assist with daily care tasks, such as changing nappies and clothing.
  • Contribute to the completion of records, such as accident and incident forms.
  • Discuss any concerns about a child's welfare or development with the nursery management.

Requirements:

  • A level 2 in Childcare is desired but not essential.
  • GCSE Grades A*-C in English and Maths, or equivalent functional skills.
  • Able to gain a clear DBS.

Working Hours:

  • Approximately 36 hours per week, with shifts to be discussed.
