About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Academic Support Team Lead to join our team at QA Pathway College in Northumbria University. As a senior member of the student and academic support team, you will coordinate and contribute to the provision of professional services within the Pathway College.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities associated with administration, student support, communication, and teamwork within a Higher Education Environment.
  • Cultivate relationships with students, University stakeholders, and Pathway staff to provide excellent student service and experience.
  • Develop and maintain consistent and accurate monitoring, reporting, and providing feedback on student induction, attendance, academic performance, and assessment submission.
  • Act as the first point of contact for staff, students, and stakeholders for all queries concerning compliance matters.
  • Provide tailored advice to staff and students on relevant changes to legislation/policy affecting sponsorship eligibility.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes to immigration policy and legislation and apply them with high accuracy to day-to-day immigration queries and issues.
  • Assist the Immigration and Compliance Manager with internal and external training, briefing sessions, communications, and policy papers.
  • Ensure engagement tracker data is recorded and up-to-date for sponsored and non-sponsored student reporting purposes.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work plans of teams within designated areas, ensuring successful collaboration with University Services and Faculties.
  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure high-level customer service through phone, email, or face-to-face interactions.
Requirements
  • Good IT, Word, and Excel skills.
  • Strong administration experience, preferably in the education sector or a busy back-office function.
