Key Responsibilities
  • Accept new referrals and complete move-in procedures for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition to our service.
  • Maintain the upkeep and security of the building, including cash and equipment management.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of client support plans and risk assessments, updating the Domestic Abuse Support Worker as necessary.
  • Provide feedback to the Domestic Abuse Support Worker on client progress and recorded documentation on the client database.
  • Conduct risk assessments for activities, including safety planning and regular reviews.
  • Work with clients and staff to devise annual plans for client involvement, promoting lived experience involvement in service delivery and improvement.
  • Facilitate evening group work and promote, monitor, and evaluate involvement sessions.
  • Work within the project's budget, adhering to financial policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the security and safety of the premises, including CCTV, front door entry systems, and alarm systems.
  • Record and manage client records, including contact notes, correspondence, incident reporting, handovers, risk updates, and outcomes achieved.
  • Address instances of non-engagement or perceived obstacles to support via a trauma-informed approach.
  • Actively promote the service and organization.
  • Ensure GDPR, confidentiality, and professional boundaries are upheld in all aspects of daily practice.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Domestic Abuse or equivalent diploma/degree/NVQ 3 or equivalent work-level experience and willingness to achieve a level 3 qualification.
  • Extensive understanding of individuals and families experiencing domestic abuse.
  • Knowledge of working as part of a team, working on own initiative, and managing time effectively.
  • Ability and knowledge of planning, promoting, or delivering group work sessions with evaluation.
  • Knowledge of providing support on agreed outcomes of assessment support plans.
  • Knowledge of assessing and implementing risk assessments, including DASH Ric.
  • Knowledge of the impact of multiple disadvantages, complex support needs, and homelessness.
  • Knowledge of welfare benefits and relative legislation.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and lone working.
