Clear Ventures is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Automated Test Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining robust test systems that support our cutting-edge research and development initiatives.

As an integral member of the team, you will collaborate closely with engineers to define test specifications, design automation frameworks, and implement comprehensive testing solutions. Your expertise in Python programming and experience with various hardware interfaces will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineers to establish clear test system requirements and specifications.
  • Develop automated test software using Python and popular hardware interfaces such as I2C, SPI, USB, GPIB, TCP/IP, and RS-232.
  • Create user-friendly graphical interfaces for test systems and demonstration platforms.
  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive test plans and schedules.
  • Manage external contractors involved in testing projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing Python-based automation for test instruments.
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with software version control and defect tracking tools.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in developing software for R&D and manufacturing data management.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
  • Experience in developing drivers for interfacing with test equipment.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., JMP, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., MongoDB).
