We are looking for an experienced and driven Director of Group Finance to collaborate closely with the owner and senior management team in overseeing the financial stewardship and reporting of our current hotel portfolio, prospective hotel acquisitions, and third-party management agreements.

Director of Group Finance basic salary: Up to £100,000

Location: Flexible within England - Remote work with monthly travel obligations

Key Responsibilities of the Director of Group Finance:

  • Manage the accounts team on a daily basis
  • Lead the financial reporting cycle for monthly management accounts
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Compile statutory accounts in readiness for audit
  • Conduct thorough financial due diligence for potential acquisitions, evaluating risks, and offering insights to the owner.
  • Generate post-acquisition financial reports, including integration strategies and performance evaluations.
  • Supervise financial reporting for all third-party management agreements, ensuring adherence to contractual requirements.
  • Establish and execute financial processes and controls for managing third-party relationships.
  • Champion the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to facilitate the company's growth strategy.
  • Identify avenues for process enhancement and cost efficiency across both new and existing business units.
  • Collaborate closely with the owner to formulate financial strategies that align with the company's expansion goals.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in financial management within the hospitality sector, emphasizing statutory and management financial reporting, due diligence, and the integration of new business units. This position demands a strategic thinker capable of managing intricate financial processes and delivering valuable insights to foster the company's growth and expansion.
