Position Overview

Due to ongoing demand and our ambitious growth objectives, Turner & Townsend is seeking to hire Senior Estimators with demonstrated expertise in the Infrastructure sector, including Rail, Airports, Highways, Power, Water, and Utilities. Opportunities are available in various locations.

Estimators at Turner & Townsend play a crucial role for our clients by serving as integrated resources within their organizations or through targeted projects for multiple clients within the Infrastructure sector as part of the Turner & Townsend Estimating Hub. While our primary focus is on UK-based clients, our Estimators may also have the flexibility to work remotely on estimating tasks for clients worldwide as needed.

Our team provides a comprehensive range of Estimating deliverables to assist clients in their decision-making processes, including:

  • Estimate Production (from preliminary estimates to detailed estimates based on first principles)
  • Estimating Assurance
  • Estimating Support for Major Programme Set Up
  • Estimating Data Management

As a Senior Estimator at Turner & Townsend, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating precise and thorough estimates and cost plans for projects efficiently and promptly.
  • Overseeing and managing the estimating process at the project level.
  • Generating estimates independently without supervision.
  • Promoting and developing best practices in estimating within Turner & Townsend.
  • Contributing to the achievement of departmental goals.
  • Keeping up-to-date with advancements in your technical area of expertise to provide best practice guidance aligned with business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Highly qualified in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with relevant experience.
  • Proven successful experience in providing estimating and/or QS services in a large project environment.
  • Familiarity with estimating software packages.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body with chartered status or working towards it.
  • Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
