Job Title: System Management Engineering Lead

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled System Management Engineering Lead to join our team at SCS Railways. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for leading the technical change management process across the project and maintaining configuration management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Technical Change: Oversee the technical change resulting from external and internal change requests through the SCS Change Management Process.
  • Coordinate Engineering Change Panels: Facilitate effective review and technical endorsement of proposed and instructed technical changes.
  • Maintain Change Registers: Ensure a register of technical changes is maintained, including actions and their status to progress through the assessment and implementation process.
  • Review Change Impact Assessments: Verify sufficient quality of change impact assessments.
  • Conduct Configuration Audits: Produce Configuration Status Reports for all design and construction packages.
  • Maintain Registers and Deliver Training: Maintain change and configuration registers and deliver regular training.
  • Review Document and Contract Management Systems: Identify changes to the baselines and maintain registers of the project and subcontractors' technical baselines.
  • Prepare and Deliver Briefings: Promote awareness of the change management process and activities within the project team.
  • Contribute to Process Improvement: Contribute to the continued improvement of the change management processes and systems.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer or Equivalent Experience: Chartered Engineer or significant experience of working at equivalent level in a project environment.
  • Extensive Experience in Configuration/Change Management: Extensive experience of the application of configuration/change management processes in major projects.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of the regulatory environment and statutory obligations relating to major rail infrastructure/construction projects or equivalent.
  • Collaboration and Communication Skills: Capable of working collaboratively and effectively with project delivery teams, management, and the project leadership, clients, sub-contractors, regulatory bodies, and other major stakeholders.
  • Information Management and Analytical Skills: Good information management and analytical skills, able to quickly and efficiently seek out the relevant and pertinent points from large volumes of project information.
  • Project Information Tools and Management Systems: Experienced in the use of project information tools and management systems including MS Office and web-based collaboration technologies for project information and process management.
