Job Opportunity for a Management Accountant

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Morgan Jones. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial support and analysis to help drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Identify trends and areas for improvement in financial performance.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping
    • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
    • Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
  • Inventory Management
    • Support local managers with inventory management, including tracking and reporting on inventory levels and movements.
  • Audit and Compliance
    • Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of various balance sheet items in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Support the interim and year-end audit with external auditors.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Produce timely and accurate management account information.
    • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making.
  • Team Support
    • Support fellow team members in the day-to-day running of the finance department.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • At least 1 year's experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Experience of ERP systems.
    • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
    • AAT or CIMA/ACCA studies.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Flexible and adaptable.
    • Proactive and able to work independently.
