We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Coordinator to oversee the Transport operation at our Heywood site. As a key member of our Transport team, you will be responsible for managing and planning driver and vehicle resource to achieve delivery and collection times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimise resource allocation and adherence to WTD and drivers' hours legislation.
  • Develop and implement an effective transport plan to achieve on-time delivery and collection performance expectations.
  • Oversee the management of own and subcontractor resource to achieve delivery and collection times, creating and updating daily run summaries.
  • Communicate effectively with the Planning team, Customer Service, and other depots as required.
  • Monitor arrival and departure times to ensure deliveries are made within specified windows.
  • Find the best fit solution for customer collections, adhering to collection times.
  • Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses.
  • Conduct colleague reviews and liaise with drivers for meetings and courses as required.
Requirements
  • Proven knowledge and experience of tachograph and driving rules and regulations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Planning and organisational skills, with the ability to work efficiently and accurately to meet set deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver accurate information.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Good IT skills, including MS Office packages, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
