About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Trials Engineer to join our team at QinetiQ. As a key member of our vehicle testing and assessment programme area, you will be responsible for supporting programmes using a thorough understanding of vehicle testing and measurement techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support programmes using a thorough understanding of vehicle testing and measurement techniques, particularly the application of instrumentation to capture accurate vehicle data.
  • Provide a methodical and thorough approach to recording and reporting data obtained during vehicle trials.
  • Support the wider team over various tasks, including safety oversight, test and evaluation, research studies, and facility maintenance.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience using MATLAB or Python.
  • Sound understanding of IT equipment and Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and programming techniques is desirable.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
Qualifications
  • An engineering or science qualification at degree level or equivalent, nationally recognised, professional qualification.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential and willingness to travel to Hurn daily when required.
