An exceptional opportunity has emerged for an Environmental Compliance and Safety Lead to become a vital part of our team. As a prominent entity in the development and production of advanced abatement systems and manufacturing processes, we focus on sectors such as semiconductors, flat panel displays, LEDs, and solar technologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs an environmental organization, we empower our clients to minimize greenhouse gas emissions associated with microchip manufacturing. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic direction and leadership to the management team regarding Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) matters.
- Ensuring adherence to compliance, legislative, safety, and environmental obligations.
- Taking charge of the formulation, execution, and oversight of the site’s sustainability strategy in collaboration with divisional and business area sustainability teams.
- Managing the sustainability program to align with global standards and organizational objectives.
- Regularly updating stakeholders on the progress of the sustainability roadmap.
Ensure the effective application of the SHE Management System, tailored to local site-specific requirements. Your role will also involve:
- Defining and executing strategies for the continuous enhancement of the SHE Management System in accordance with global and international standards.
- Monitoring compliance with SHE Management System procedures and relevant legislation.
- Collaborating with global sustainability and quality functions to drive business improvements.
- Overseeing project management for SHE process enhancement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Level 6 Diploma or a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or chartered membership of IOSH.
- Experience in leading projects focused on carbon footprint reduction, waste management, water conservation, and biodiversity enhancement.
- The ability to inspire and influence individuals not directly under your supervision to engage in site-wide sustainability and safety initiatives.
- Experience in establishing beneficial partnerships with community organizations and environmental advocacy groups.
