Role Overview

We are offering a fantastic opportunity within our Water Network Operations and Leakage department as a Customer Inspector . In this role, you will be pivotal in guaranteeing that our customers receive a consistent supply of high-quality drinking water by managing customer concerns from inspection through to resolution.

Your daily responsibilities will involve working closely with the customer hub to keep clients informed throughout the resolution process, addressing complex issues, and consistently delivering outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections for customer-related issues such as leaks, stop taps, water wastage, and supply isolations, resolving matters at the point of contact whenever feasible.
  • Ensure high standards of remedial action for first-time resolutions.
  • Take personal responsibility for customer issues, enhancing the customer journey and ensuring commitments are fulfilled.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints, including on-site visits when necessary.
  • Efficiently allocate time to complete unappointed customer tasks between scheduled visits.
  • Identify and proactively assist vulnerable customers or those requiring additional support.
  • Adhere to company policies and standards, including data protection and traffic management.
  • Serve as a primary contact for customers throughout their experience.
  • Coordinate with property owners/installers to ensure timely completion of remedial work following inspections.
  • Promote and enhance safe working practices, reviewing and suggesting improvements to methods, standards, and procedures.
