About the Role:
Voyage Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Roselea, a welcoming and friendly residential service in Slimbridge. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the individuals we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Teach new life skills, such as cooking and cleaning, to promote independence
- Encourage individuals to access their local communities, socialize, and participate in activities
- Support individuals with autism and challenging behaviors, using Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
Requirements:
- Full UK driving license
- Resilience, flexibility, and composure in approach
- Experience working with individuals with autism and challenging behaviors
- Ability to work as part of a dynamic team
What We Offer:
- Enhanced evening and weekend pay at an additional 50p per hour
