About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Learning Support Assistant to join our Additional Learning Support Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide in and out of class support to assist students with learning difficulties/disabilities to help them achieve their best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with learning difficulties/disabilities, including personal care and literacy and numeracy support.
  • Work closely with curriculum staff to plan, prepare, and review learning, providing feedback and carrying out reviews as appropriate to ensure students are making expected progress and working towards outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with challenging behavior, helping them to develop their own coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Student Support team to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting students with learning difficulties/disabilities.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting students in an educational setting and knowledge of SEND, ALS, and EHCPs.
  • Maths and English Level 2/C grade or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work towards an adult learner support or equivalent qualification.
