About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Monitoring to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for facilitating organizational change by utilizing specialized business acceptance testing skills and a disciplined test management approach.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies and protocols for business acceptance testing processes and their interactions across multiple work streams.
  2. Ensure effective planning and resource allocation for each phase of testing, understanding the requirements of IT and business users.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, test managers, development teams, QA leads, business, and project teams to define test strategies within programs and/or projects.
  4. Ensure consistent use of JIRA/Zephyr scaled and other test management/collaboration tools, taking responsibility for training and upskilling other Test users and Business Testers.
  5. Support test planning, implement monitoring, control, and delivery of business acceptance testing activities and tasks.
  6. Define and create test data and scripts, as well as support others in doing the same.
  7. Coordinate test resources, track progress, and issue management, including leading the triaging of issues into defects, new requirements, data setup, user error, etc.
  8. Collaborate with Aztech (IT) regarding test environment configuration, availability, and security to ensure smooth execution of E2E business acceptance testing.
  9. Identify areas suitable for automation testing and work with peers in ATech (IT) to deliver.
  10. Work with System Test teams to ensure full coverage of end-to-end testing requirements.
  11. Manage and empower the test staff in testing methodologies and enabling best practices.
Essential Skills
  1. Managing the design, development, and delivery of large-scale E2E testing engagements across a broad range of platforms and business areas.
  2. Building sustainable, comprehensive testing strategies & protocols that cover both system and business testing processes and their interactions.
  3. Understanding of all test phases (types) and their relevance and place in setting up a best-in-class QA capability on large programs of work.
  4. Leadership skills and ability to take a flexible approach to meet team objectives.
  5. ISTQB foundation certificate.
