Senior Risk Underwriter - Commercial Combined and Property Owners

Stride Resource Management Ltd is seeking a Senior Risk Underwriter to enhance their well-established Commercial division, with a focus on expanding partnerships with key strategic stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the profitable growth of the Mid-Market Commercial Combined and Property Owners portfolio by underwriting tailored commercial risks.
  • Build and sustain mutually advantageous relationships with a selection of Network brokers as their designated underwriter.
  • Enhance and support the commercial portfolio by engaging and fostering new and existing broker relationships.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to contribute to the team's growth objectives, optimizing both sales and client retention.
  • Take charge of complex and significant cases, collaborating with brokers to negotiate favorable outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to, and strive to surpass, established service levels for both internal and external clients.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the commercial underwriting and broking landscape.
  • Act as a reliable resource for your team, offering technical support and mentorship to junior colleagues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in underwriting and trading within the mid-market Commercial Combined and Property Owners broker sector.
  • Exceptional communication abilities with a knack for positively influencing key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in negotiation and influence through effective trading strategies.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, displaying a positive attitude towards change.
  • Willingness to assist and support colleagues, showcasing a collaborative spirit.
  • A strong team player, adept at fostering and maintaining relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service, consistently seeking to enhance the quality of service delivered to all clients.
  • A confident decision-maker with a robust and decisive approach to underwriting.
