Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team at Disability North. As a Personal Assistant, you will provide essential support to a young lady with autism, enabling her to engage in social activities and allowing her mother to have respite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to the young lady, promoting her independence and participation in activities.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as personal care and household chores.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and engaging environment, taking into account the young lady's sensory needs.
  • Communicate effectively with the young lady's mother, ensuring a smooth and coordinated support plan.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with autism and/or learning disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the role.
  • Permission to work in the UK.
