Senior Finance Assistant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join our dynamic team at Office Angels. As a Senior Finance Assistant, you will provide critical support to our Finance Director, ensuring the smooth operation of all in-house financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Forecasting and Planning: Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, month-end management accounts, and budget planning.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly management accounts, highlighting discrepancies or trends.
  • Financial Analysis: Support the Finance Manager in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Financial Systems: Maintain accurate financial records, update internal spreadsheets, and reconcile sales and purchase ledger accounts.
  • Fixed Assets: Maintain Fixed Assets register, including calculation of monthly depreciation charges.
  • Audit Support: Assist in the external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a senior finance role.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Part AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualified is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
