Senior Microbiology Quality Control Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Microbiology Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scientific and technical tasks within the Microbiology Quality Control Department with a high level of efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee the work of others within the section and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Prepare technical documentation within the department, as required.
- Train others on laboratory procedures and ensure that all personal lead times are aligned with departmental goals.
- Support and lead projects in the department, developing and validating laboratory procedures as needed.
- Review analytical and laboratory data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with documented procedures.
- Communicate effectively with others on site and participate in departmental and site-wide problem-solving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP in all areas of the business and participate in EH&S initiatives.
- Degree in Applied Biology (with microbiology) or a closely related field/equivalent experience.
- Shown experience in Pharmaceutical Microbiology.
- Ability to work to critical timelines and a proactive approach.
- Effective communication skills at all internal levels.
