Opus People Solutions is collaborating with a local authority to find an interim Community Safety Operations Manager. This role is pivotal in steering, directing, and efficiently overseeing the Licensing Service, which serves multiple councils as part of a transformative initiative.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading the enhancement of community safety and CCTV services.
  • Establishing and managing a high-performing, customer-centric service across various councils.
  • Building and nurturing strong partnerships to achieve positive outcomes aligned with the council's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Addressing operational challenges and ensuring teams are adept at resolving community safety issues through effective problem identification and solution implementation.
  • Monitoring legislative changes affecting community safety and CCTV, ensuring the team adapts accordingly.
  • Maintaining high professional standards within a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring all members are well-versed in relevant laws and regulations.
  • Fostering a culture of accountability and performance among team members.

The role also includes:

  • Leading projects that fulfill the responsibilities outlined in various legislative acts related to community safety.
  • Coordinating emergency management efforts to mitigate risks to public health and the environment.
