Are you passionate about making a positive impact on children's lives? GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Learning Support Assistants/Teaching Assistants in Hull.

We offer a range of opportunities that fit your schedule, from full-time to part-time or flexible working hours. As a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant, you'll have the chance to work across various schools, engaging with children of different ages and abilities.

No prior qualifications are necessary. We provide a free Level 2 Teaching Assistant course for candidates with the right experience. All you need is the drive and passion to make a difference in the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students in their educational journey, providing individualized attention and guidance.
  • Help manage and guide behavior in accordance with school policies, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement academic or social interventions, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Assist in delivering creative and engaging lessons, utilizing formative and summative assessments to measure student progress.
  • Support phonics education following the school's chosen program, fostering a love of reading and learning in students.
  • Encourage independence in life skills, promoting self-confidence and self-reliance in students.
  • Ensure outstanding safeguarding and pastoral care, prioritizing the well-being and safety of students.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Has experience working with children or vulnerable adults, demonstrating a commitment to supporting those in need.
  • Is proactive, energetic, kind, and caring, with a passion for making a positive impact on children's lives.
  • Possesses an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to undergo the process), ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
  • Has a fully checkable work history, demonstrating reliability and trustworthiness.
  • Hold a driving license or is willing to use public transport within Hull, ensuring flexibility and accessibility.
  • Is in good mental and physical health, resilient, and reliable, with the ability to work with vulnerable and challenging students in a school environment.

This role requires a solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection, with successful applicants required to pass all necessary background checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
