Estimator - Bespoke Joinery Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Estimator - Bespoke Joinery to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating and tendering for bespoke joinery and shop fit-out projects, working closely with main contractors and high-end clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review tender enquiries to determine scope of works and project deadlines
  • Produce BOQs (Bill of Quantities) from drawings, ensuring timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
  • Manage tenders and quotations on our internal database
  • Communicate with customers, providing technical information and resolving queries
  • Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers
  • Work on projects ranging from £10k to £300k
Requirements
  • Estimating experience within the joinery / bespoke joinery / cabinet maker / bespoke furniture market sectors
  • Good technical knowledge and understanding of industry processes, materials, and costs
  • Highly organized with good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good team player who also works well individually
