Job Title: 1:1 LAC Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 LAC Tutor to join our team at GSL Education - Yorkshire. As a 1:1 LAC Tutor, you will play a crucial role in supporting a child who has faced significant challenges.

Job Summary:

As a 1:1 LAC Tutor, you will work in a one-to-one setting, tailoring your teaching methods to meet the unique needs of looked after children. Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored 1:1 tutoring lessons in various subjects, ensuring the child's unique educational needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engaging, personalized lesson plans that align with each child's individual education plan.
  • Monitor and report the child's progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of the child's progress and any concerns.
  • Communicate regularly with the child's carers, social workers, and school staff to ensure consistent support.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a passionate and dedicated individual with a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable learners. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, carers, and other stakeholders.
