Job Summary

The PPF Administrator will be responsible for providing high-quality administration services to a portfolio of PPF clients. This will involve working closely with colleagues in Broadstone, the PPF, independent trustees, and other third parties to ensure that members of pension schemes receive the correct benefits and the best possible outcome.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for allocated PPF clients and ensure that day-to-day administration services are provided to a high standard.
  • Carry out routine administration services for other PPF clients as requested by Senior Administrators, Team Leaders, Pensions Manager, and Pensions Director.
  • Maintain membership records on the administration system, calculate benefits for members, and set up new members on the system.
  • Sort and file client documentation, record PPF client events and time cost work undertaken for billing, and ensure that all work leaving the team is of a high standard.
  • Adhere to the Trust-Based Pensions Administration Procedures Manual, PPF technical guides, and procedure notes.
  • Attend PPF, Trustee meetings, and other meetings as required.
  • Keep under review all routine administration procedures carried out for PPF clients and raise with Pensions Manager/Directors if improvements can be made.
  • Provide updates at team meetings of development/changes on own PPF clients that the rest of the team should be aware of.
  • Keep up to date and provide support for administration systems as required.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work on own as well as a member of a team.
  • Sound understanding of current pensions legislation.
  • Highly numerate, accurate, and literate.
  • Analytical and numerical ability – able to analyse, evaluate, and interpret data.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads, and deal with any urgent issues that arise.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to manage own work within strict deadlines.
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Studying towards APMI or similar PMI examinations.
  • Previous or some working knowledge of PPF processes an advantage but not necessary (full training will be provided).

  • Adhere to all relevant laws & regulations, and Broadstone Policies & Procedures.
  • Achieve a good standard of ethical behaviour, do the right thing at all times.
  • Comply with all relevant professional standards.
  • Comply with the FCA's requirements in relation to the Senior Managers & Certification Regime, Treating Customers Fairly, and the new Consumer Duty.
