Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Junior Clinical Fellow in Paediatrics and Neonates.
Main Responsibilities- Assist in ward rounds on Rainbow Ward and the Neonatal Unit, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Accept paediatric referrals from GPs, A&E, and see children in the Paediatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC) in a timely manner.
- Complete discharge summaries in a timely manner.
- Respond to emergencies immediately, including on Labour Ward.
- Participate in outpatient experience.
- Contribute to clinical audits and guidelines.
- Follow a paediatric career pathway and receive similar training opportunities as a trainee junior doctor.
Qualifications
- Full GMC Registration.
- M.B., Ch.B or equivalent.
- Completed Foundation Y1 competencies or equivalent.
Experience
- Understanding and awareness of the particular requirements and demands of working with children and their parents.
- Previous experience working within the NHS or having a clinical attachment within the NHS.
- Demonstrates a reflective approach to practice and commitment to personal development.
Skills
- Ability to prioritise and organise clinical workload.
