About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to a SEMH pupil in a 1:1 setting, promoting their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to a SEMH pupil, focusing on their academic and personal development.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to meet the pupil's needs.
  • Collaborate with the pupil's teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
  • Monitor and record the pupil's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil, their family, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Experience working with SEMH pupils, preferably in a 1:1 setting.
  • Strong knowledge of support and intervention programs for SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
