Job Title: Senior Respite Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Respite Nurse to join our team at James Hopkins Trust. As a Senior Respite Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical nursing care to children with complex needs, ensuring their safety and well-being in our respite center or in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical leadership to ensure the safe running of our respite center and the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.
  • Supervise and support our nursing team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
  • Assess and evaluate the care needs of our patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in quality control monitoring and auditing processes to ensure the safe delivery of care and maintain high standards through best practice.
Requirements:
  • Registered Children's Nurse with a minimum of four years of post-registration experience in nursing children with complex needs.
  • Experience in supervising and leading a team of nurses and healthcare assistants.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working.
