About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and trustworthy Personal Care Assistant / Support Worker to join our team at People Plus Independent Living Services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enabling our customers to live independently and safely in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support our customers with mobility and dexterity issues, providing assistance with transfers, dressing, and grooming.
  • Accompany customers on outings and activities, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Work collaboratively with our customers, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a care or support role, preferably with a focus on personal care and assistance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varied shifts and respond to changing customer needs.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Full driving license and access to a reliable vehicle, with a willingness to transport customers as needed.
