Job Overview

Position Details:

  • Compensation: £65,000

  • Employment Type: Full-time (Permanent)
  • Work Arrangement: On-site required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly report to the Managing Director regarding the comprehensive operational management of clinical services.
  • Assist the Medical Director in the daily operations of the clinical services department, collaborating to enhance patient care quality and uphold safeguarding standards.
  • Provide clinical services insights across the organization to support effective service delivery.
  • Engage with the Senior Management Team to evaluate performance metrics and the effectiveness of information systems monthly.
  • Maintain awareness of business needs and contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
  • Ensure optimal scheduling and resource utilization, offering guidance on project management and committee involvement as necessary.
  • Establish team objectives aligned with medical, administrative, legal, and ethical standards in healthcare delivery.
  • Foster a culture of open communication, valuing diverse opinions and encouraging constructive discussions to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Oversee the recruitment process for clinical services personnel, adhering to budgetary constraints.
  • Design and implement an appropriate staffing skill mix, in line with budgetary limits.
  • Maintain agreed staffing levels to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Support the professional development of clinical staff through regular performance reviews tailored to their personal and professional growth.
  • Manage grievance and disciplinary issues related to clinical personnel.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop and assess performance standards for patient care, contributing to the implementation and evaluation of compliance with Care Quality Commission standards.
  • Act as the safeguarding lead, providing strategic guidance on safeguarding matters for both adults and children, including adherence to the Mental Capacity Act and PREVENT initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Registered with the RCN.
  • Demonstrated experience in first and second line management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven track record of professional development in previous roles.
  • Effective coaching and development capabilities.
  • Leadership and transformational management experience.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • A minimum of ten years in clinical practice, including three years in healthcare management.
  • Experience with the CQC as a Registered Manager is preferred.
  • History of leading an organization to achieve a Good or Outstanding CQC Inspection is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Adult) and a Master's degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in delivering community diagnostic services.
